On This Day: Criminals Bonnie and Clyde Ambushed and Killed
Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were two notorious criminals whose crime sprees varied across several states including Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana in the early 1930s. The FBI became involved in the investigation as they continued to rob banks, steal automobiles, and kill law enforcement officials as well as citizens. Many attempts were made to capture the two; however, they were able to elude being apprehended. On May 23, 1934, police officers from Louisiana and Texas ambushed Bonnie and Clyde in their vehicle along the highway near Sailes, Louisiana, killing the two.
